Help me out. We all know that Rush Limbaugh called a woman a slut. He shouldn't have. He apologized. Whatever you think of his apology is what you think. I'm trying to figure out why Rush saying what he said is such a big deal. I'm betting you've said the same thing about a woman. If you haven't, you're either a saint or you're lying to yourself.Let me run some stuff down for you.
Have you listened to Rap lately? Listen to a local pop (cause rap is now pop) station for an hour and tell me you don't hear things in the lyrics of those songs that are worse than what Rush said. That seems to be okay. No, really, turn on the radio or Fuse TV and actually listen to the lyrics. The songs get played and advertisers seem to be okay with it. I'm confused.
Remember when Chris Brown tried beating the face off of Rhianna? In case you forgot, you can see the pic. Now he's performing on award shows and getting standing ovations. But Rush calling a woman a slut is worse than Chris Brown beating her? Really? The only award Chris Brown should be winning is the annual prison bitch on the year cause that's where he should be. Prison...but instead...he's selling records, touring and everybody seems to be okay with it. Never mind the fact that he regularly says insanely stupid and inflammatory things on his Twitter that his people take down and, oh yeah, HE BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF A WOMAN!!!!!!! What am I missing here? I'm confused.A lot of people attack Rush because of his political views. I don't care what he says. It's entertainment. I'm smart enough to realize that. His job is to get people to turn on the radio and listen and by all accounts he does a good job of that, but if you're going to attack the right, be fair and point out some of the things the left has said. Did you see ANY of this on the nightly news? I didn't. Bias? Probably.
This is why I'm confused. If you watched the video, its totally fine for them to say what they said, but when Rush says it, its the worst thing in the world and his head should be on a post. In other forms of "entertainment", saying what Rush said would've been fine. Hell, people, and maybe you're one of them, would've laughed or shrugged it off as entertainment. But because a right wing blowhard said it he's now the most evil person in the world? C'mon people. If you're gonna be upset about one person saying it then you to be upset when EVERYBODY says it.
If you don't like what Rush says...DON'T LISTEN! Nobody has a gun to your head and is forcing you to listen to him. Change the channel.
