After being out of work seemingly forever. I've finally landed a gig. Back where it all started....well in the same building at least. I took a part time board op gig at WTAM. Got a call last week asking if I would be interested and my first day was today. Is it exactly what I want? No. I am very grateful for the opportunity to get back to doing what I love and maybe it will lead to something else. Never know.
You might be thinking to yourself that it's odd that I'm back working for the people who let me go almost 2 years ago. This is why you don't burn those bridges cause you never know who and when somebody is going to call you for something. Ranting on a blog or your Facebook or Twitter page may seem like a nice way too vent, but all you've done is burn a bridge.
I could sit here and say thank you to everybody that stuck by me but that would be corny. Even though I should probably thank my awesome wife and family for dealing with me during this.
There's another iron that's currently burning in the fire for something that would absolutely LOVE to be able to do and hopefully within the next couple of weeks, another slice of good news will come my way. I could ask you to bombard that station's Facebook & Twitter....but I won't....maybe later. I'm happy to be working with some really great people....again.
This is a step in the right direction.
