Dear Occupy....where ever the hell you are,
I'd like to know what you're protesting. You're mad at rich people? You're mad cause you don't have a job? You're mad cause you got screwed over? Some of you are mad just to be mad. Some of you are mad cause life has given you a bad hand. Okay, we all get dealt a bad hand every now and then. The last two years of my life has been a bad hand, but I'm not going to live in a tent in a park. Why? Can't get a job living in a park. Does it suck being out of work? Hell yes! I'd love to be going to a job everyday. There's a job that I applied for at a certain classic rock station that I'd be perfect for. If I don't get it, will I be pissed? Yep, but I'll move on to the next opportunity. That's what you do. When life knocks you down, you brush off the dust, get back up and keep fighting. If you want everything handed to you, get on a boat or a plane and move to Greece or Italy, I hear its working out great for them.
Instead of living in a park because you feel that life has screwed you over. Take control of your life. It's not anybody's job to take care of you except yours. You got laid off, that sucks. Get hired by the competition and make your former employers regret it. One of the great joys I have in life is proving people wrong. You don't think I can do that job? I'll do it and do it better than you.
Are there things wrong with the system? Yep, I won't argue with you on that. But carrying a sign and fighting the cops will get you nowhere....except in jail. Fight the system from the inside. Work your ass off, like your grandparents did, climb the ladder. That's what we used to do in America. Now, everybody wants everything handed to them. If everything is just handed to you, what incentive is there to move forward? What incentive is there for progress? None. That's why communism is great in theory. In a practical world, it fails.
You don't have a singular message. When you have a message, come back and maybe you'll have an actual movement. Till then, you just look like a bunch of people who want everything handed to you.
