Every season people invest in a false hope that this year the Browns won't suck as bad as the previous year. And every season people are stunned, stunned I say, to realize that the Browns suck just as bad as the previous year. Why is this shocking? What have the Browns done to make anybody say, "Oh, this year is the year!"? Nothing. Nothing has been done to improve the team. The offensive line still stinks. No big play wide receivers and ANOTHER first time head coach that is showing that he has no clue what he's doing. So when the offense goes out there and sputters along. Don't be shocked, this is the non-winning formula the Browns organization has followed since they came back.
Would it be nice if the Browns were good? Hell yes! I would love to be able to wear my Browns hoodie with pride, not just because it's warm. But since people will still go to the stadium and waste their money, what incentive is there to get good? None. If you're paying for parking and beer at the stadium, they have your money and are basically saying to you, "thanks sucker! Enjoy watching this crap!"
The Browns are a business. They're in it to make money. If you don't like the product, as a consumer, you don't have to watch. Does somebody have a gun to your head forcing you to sit through this garbage? Probably not. Wearing a paper bag over your head will do nothing but make you look stupid. Want to show your displeasure with the organization. Don't go to the games. Once the money stops coming in, they'll take notice.
