Don't Panic. Ohio State is Right Where They Should Be

The fist College Football Playoff ranking came out today.

1. Alabama

2. Notre Dame

3. Clemson

4. Ohio State.

Ohio State? Number 4?!?! The world is ending!!!

Calm down. Ohio State is right where they should be.

Deep breath time.

This CFB season is a mess. Canceled, postponed games all over the place. If the game isn't postponed chances are the team has had to put some of it's players in some sort of COVID protocol and OSU is no different.

The Buckeyes had one game ( Maryland) canceled due to COVID issues with a team. So they've only played for games. While some other teams have played as many as 9 games. That's an issue. There's less of a resume compared to other conferences.

It also doesn't help that the Buckeyes struggles to put away a tough Indiana team. Yes, Indiana is actually good this year! But if you're Ohio State, you need to roll and roll big in that game.

They good news is that Ohio State's remaining schedule should be a walk in the park. Illinois...not good. Michigan State, yes Sparty beat Michigan. But MSU hasn't done anything since. And finally there's the Michigan game to close out the season. The Wolverines have, to put it mildly, struggled this season.

Ohio State should have no problem making the College Football Playoffs. Unless there's a hiccup in the Big Ten Championship game.
