As 2012 inches closer and closer. I'm praying that the year of the Mayan Apocalypse will hold better things in store than the previous 2 years....dealing with the morons at the Maine Department of Labor is making the end of 2011 a major pain in the ass and the apocalypse a welcome sight.
I have to thank my family and especially my wife for being supportive. She puts up with more crap from me than she should. Maybe next year I can repay her.
A lot of people say "this is going to be their year". It sounds good, and for some, it may actually be your year. Me, I'm just hoping that this year will be the start of a good run, considering the past two years were pretty crappy. I'm not going to sit here and say 2012 is going to be my year. I want 2012 to be the start of a run of many good years. The universe doesn't owe me a thing and I'm not expecting anything. I've learned to keep my expectations low, that way when something good happens, it'll feel great.
I've put in for A LOT of jobs around here, you'd think 10 years of busting my ass would pay off and maybe it will...but I'm learning to have patience. Having patience is something I'm not good at. Maybe this is all training for something else that will happen down the road. I don't know, I'm not that deep. People who know what I do, know that I do a damn good job at what I do. Maybe 2012 will be the year that all this pays off...hopefully it is. Either way, I'll keep fighting, scratching, clawing to get where I want to go.
