I'm one of the few people who actually likes what Cowherd does. It's a gimmick. It's a shtick. His job is to get a reaction out of you. He doesn't care if you hate him, he's still cashin' checks! And that's what matters.
But every now and then, even I think he says something stupid. This is one of those times.
Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs was hurt playing against the Browns on Sunday. He left the game with a concussion. That's not good for the Chiefs and it's not good for the NFL moving forward.
The NFL wants Mahomes vs. Josh Allen. These guys could be the faces of the league moving forward, I mean, Mahomes is already there, but Bill QB Josh Allen could join Mahomes with a win on Sunday in the AFC Championship win.
So what was Cowherd's idea? This:

Cowherd is not wrong that the NFL wants Mahomes to play in this game. He's a draw. He brings in numbers. But the NFL is not going to move this game for one player even if that player is the face of the league. Somehow, magically, Mahomes will be cleared and he'll play on Sunday.
