Meet Richard Wilbanks. Richard is a retiree. Richard is also a hero.
Richard wrestled an alligator to save his three-month old puppy, Gunner.
Richard told GMA that the alligator came out of nowhere and snatched the pup.
He said going he just reacted when he started wrestling with the gator!
Miraculously, Gunner only suffered one puncture wound.
Louise Wilbanks, Richard's wife, says Gunner will always be on a leash from now on.
