The Breast Feeding Time Magazine Cover Mom

I don't understand why this is such a huge story. OK, I know why its a huge story, but it shouldn't be. It's really none of our business. Once you get past the "shocking" picture and the fact that the mom is hot. She is, shut up. It's a non story. Is it weird? Yep. Did Time Magazine get what they wanted from this? Hell yes. They did this for publicity and it worked for them....big time! High five to the people over there.

Here's the deal. Is she abusing her kid? Is she locking him in a dark closet with only a bucket to do his business in? Is she beating him every night?  Not that anybody knows of. She's breast feeding her kids. Now you and many other people may feel that her kids are too old for that and that's your opinion and you're still allowed to have an opinion in America the last time I checked. She thinks she's doing the right thing and that's her business. If you want to breast feed your kid till he/she is 40. Go for it. Who are we to say when a parent should stop? Is it your kid? No. Everybody is so concerned with what everybody else is doing. This, sadly, is the society we live in now. This story, mainly because of the picture, gets attention because it's taboo. Meanwhile, you hardly hear about the child being abused. Those stories are just blurbs on the evening news now. Those are the stories that should be getting the attention. Sadly those stories aren't shocking anymore.

This "story" is more Jerry Springer than actual news item, but in today's world, this is what sells covers and gets people to tune in.

Let's be honest, her breast milk is probably healthier than 90% of the other crap her kids eat.
